Women’s Equipment Packing List

Your destination and activities determine the specific equipment that you will want or need on  your trip. For example, if I am backpacking into the wilderness, I bring lighter camera equipment and leave the electric socket converter at home. Below is a checklist of the common equipment I take for a variety of trips.

  • Camera
    • 2-3 camera storage cards
    • Camera batteries and battery charger
    • Camera card to tablet cord
    • Small tripod
  • Cell phone (Phone, SIM cards and phone service can be bought in destination country)
  • Tablet and earbuds
  • Charging cords
  • Electric socket converter for international travel
  • Water bottle(s)
  • Cork screw/bottle opener
  • Binoculars
  • Notepad, pen and watercolors
  • 1 yard (1 metre) of duct tape wrapped on a pencil for first aid and small repairs
  • Small first aid kit
  • Liquid camping soap for laundry and a line
  • Walking sticks
  • Solar charger for wilderness or international travel to places with unreliable electricity
  • Pocket knife or multi tool for wilderness travel
  • Spot unit for wilderness travel
  • Sterilizing pen, water filter or iodine tablets to sterilize water
